After 50 Skincare - September 2nd, 2009

If you have reached the age of 50 and have no wrinkles, your skin is basically amazing or you have taken amazing care, or you have gotten plastic surgery.  Any way you look at it, you look younger than your age, and good for you.  But at 50, skincare is even more important than before, and yet not as complicated as you may think.  The basic things you’ve done before you need to keep doing.  You can use all the best wrinkle creams using tons of peptides, but don’t forget the basics.

For example, remember to always keep your face clean.  You probably don’t suffer from acne at this point, but you still need to keep the bacteria and free radicals away.  Second, make sure you are moisturizing.  Your skin can dry out more easily than before, and it’s partly that loss of moisture that causes wrinkles in some ways.  Third, make sure you are drinking enough water.  Water makes a huge impact on your body’s ability to function as well as to stay moisturized in general.  So make sure you are doing that.  Then, have a facial once a week.  Whether you make your own at home facial or go to a salon, do it, it will help you to further refresh and aid your skin.
